The municipality of Plymouth administers a General Assistance program for the support of the poor. Pursuant to Title 22 MRSA section 4305, the municipal officers have adopted an ordinance establishing that program.
General Assistance is administered by the First Selectman, Linda Seavey @ 341-2487.
Please stop in to the Town Office to get an application. Once you have completed the full application, bring it back to the Town Office for the First Selectmen to review your application. Once reviewed, she will call to set up a time to meet with you.
Town Office hours are:
Monday 11 am to 6 pm
Tuesday 11 am to 5 pm
Wednesday 11 am to 5 pm
Thursday 11 am to 5 pm
Fridays 7 am to noon.
The Town Office is Closed all weekends and legal State of Maine holidays.
General Assistance hours are by appointment.
